FAQs

What should I expect the day of my session?

An awesome experience! Your custom photo session will be fun, exciting and relaxed. We will tell you what to do with your hands, as well as guide you into poses.

How far in advance should I book my session?

Immediately to ensure that you receive your desired date. Our calendar is usually booked 1-2 months in advance.

Maternity photography sessions are best captured between 28-36 weeks, but every woman is different and you can book as early or as late as you please!

Where do your shoots take place?

Sessions take place at rented studio or on location (outdoors, hotels, coffee shops, parks etc.). If you need to change clothes during an outdoor shoot, we have a portable dressing room. However, we usually scout out nearby restrooms where clients can change clothes.

Does time of the day matter when scheduling a photoshoot?

Yes and no. Outdoor sessions are done with natural sunlight, so the time of the day does matter. In-studio sessions are done indoors with professional lighting equipment so the time of the day does not matter.

Am I allowed to bring props to a session?

Yes, you may bring what ever props you like or feel are meaningful to the session.

What is your maternity photography style?

Our style is elegant, classic, timeless and clean.

What should I wear for my maternity shoot?

Ideally, a long dress or gown that showcases your belly nicely.

How do I or my family dress for a portrait session?

Typically dressy casual is a good way to go. However, it is your session and you may dress the way you like. Remember, coordinating is key to a flowing session!

Can my husband/significant other/older kids be a part of the shoot?

Absolutely! Capturing your baby bump pictures are a significant moment, not only in your life, but in the life of your family as well.

Do you retouch?

Absolutely! I don’t deliver anything I wouldn’t want delivered to myself! Every image delivered to you is retouched and album ready - never plastic looking, just a glamorous you!

What is the difference between low-res and high-res images?

You can print high-res images. Low-res images are not ideal for printing, but are perfect for display online such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and etc.

Will all my unedited images be high-res images?

No, all of your unedited images will be low-res images. You can purchase high-res images for a fee.

What is your turnaround time?

You will be sent a private online gallery to choose your favorite images for retouching about 1 week after your shoot. It typically takes 2-3 weeks for the final images to be ready.

Will you use my images on your website, blog, Facebook, etc.?

Each client is required to sign a Privacy Policy that lets us know if we can use any of their images, and, if so, what we can use them for. Your privacy is extremely important to us and we will never use clients’ images without their consent.

What happens if I need to reschedule?

We can reschedule up to one time in the case of an emergency/non weather related reasons. Rescheduling will be for the next available date. Please keep in mind that availability is limited, so the next available date may not be for a few weeks or longer.

Why is my retainer non-refundable?

Once a date is reserved it can no longer be used for another client, therefore retainers are non-refundable. Retainers are transferable for up to 90 days.

What form of payment do you accept?

We accept cash and all major credit cards.

How do I use my print credit?

If you purchased a package that includes print credits, I will provide you with a coupon code to use when you receive your final gallery. No gallery wraps, announcements or flat cards can be ordered using print credits. These must be purchased separately. Sizes 4x6, 5x7, 8x10, 11x14 may be ordered using print credits.
