How do I book a session?
Booking is straightforward, here’s how it works:
1. Reach out: Fill out the contact form or email maineparris@gmail.com with your preferred session type and date.
2. Connect: I’ll follow up within 48 hours to confirm availability and answer any questions.
3. Lock it in: Once we agree on a date, I’ll send your contract and retainer invoice. Your date is officially secured once both are received.
4. Prepare: I’ll send a welcome guide with everything you need before your session.
5. Show up: Leave the rest to me.
What are your rates and what is included?
Sessions start at $375. Visit the pricing page to explore all available packages and what’s included in each.
Do you require a retainer to hold a date?
Yes. A non-refundable $150 retainer and a signed contract are required to officially reserve your date. This ensures your time slot is held exclusively for you. The remaining balance is due the day of your session.
When should I schedule my maternity session?
The ideal window for maternity sessions is between 28 and 34 weeks. The bump is prominent and you’re still comfortable enough to move freely during the shoot. Book early , maternity sessions fill up quickly. If you’re past 34 weeks reach out and we’ll figure it out.
What should I wear?
What you wear directly affects the look and feel of your photos.
For maternity sessions:
Flowing gowns, form-fitting dresses, and wrap styles photograph well. Solid colors and soft earth tones work best. Avoid busy patterns or large logos. A Style Guide will be sent after booking.
For graduation and Glow Sessions:
Wear something that reflects your personality and makes you feel confident. Solid colors or simple patterns work best. Bring a backup outfit if you’d like options. Steam or iron everything beforehand, wrinkles are more visible on camera than expected.
Can my partner, kids, or family members join the session?
Yes. Partners are welcome and encouraged for maternity sessions. Additional family members can be included depending on the session type. Mention it when you inquire so the session can be planned accordingly.
Where will the shoot take place?
Every session includes outdoor and on-location options at no additional cost.
• On-Location (Outdoor): A Location Guide will be shared to help select the right backdrop. Outdoor sessions are best September through May. Summer sessions are scheduled at golden hour.
• In-Home (Lifestyle): For a more relaxed, natural feel in your own space.
• Studio: Book your preferred Houston-area studio directly and I’ll be there ready to shoot. Studio recommendations available upon request.
• Custom Location: Have somewhere specific in mind? Bring it up during booking and we’ll work it into the plan.
Do you shoot in the summer?
Yes. All summer outdoor sessions are scheduled at golden hour, roughly one hour before sunset — when the light is at its best and the temperature is more manageable. Studio sessions are available year-round.
What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
Retainers & Refunds:
All retainers are non-refundable. Once a session fee is paid in full, refunds are not issued. Payment can be applied toward a rescheduled date.
The One-Pass Rule:
One complimentary reschedule is allowed for emergency purposes. A second reschedule requires a new retainer to secure a new date.
Inclement Weather:
No rescheduling fee for weather-related cancellations. The session will be moved to the next available opening, which may be 3 to 4 weeks out.
Cancellations:
If you choose to cancel rather than reschedule, the retainer is forfeited.
Arrival & No-Shows:
Please arrive on time. Arriving considerably late may result in forfeiture of your session and all payments made.
I’m nervous in front of the camera. Will you help with posing?
Yes. Every session includes directed posing — you’ll be guided through movements and prompts throughout the shoot so the end result looks natural, not stiff. No prior experience needed.
How should I prepare for my session?
• Arrive at the location at your scheduled start time, build in a few minutes for parking and getting settled.
• Get a good night’s sleep before your session.
• Come ready or allow time for hair and makeup before your start time.
• Bring outfits steamed and ready, wrinkles are more visible on camera than expected.
• Bring water, especially for outdoor sessions or sessions with kids.
How long until I get my photos?
The Selection Gallery (48–72 Hours):
Within 2 to 3 days of your session a Proofing Gallery link will be sent. Review the images and select your favorites for final editing.
The Final Gallery (2 Weeks):
Once selections are submitted, each chosen image will be hand-edited and delivered via a private online link within 2 weeks.
How will my photos be delivered?
Via a high-resolution, password-protected online gallery. From there you can download your images, share them, or order professional prints directly to your door.
How long will my online gallery be available?
60 days from the delivery date. Download and back up your images promptly after receiving your gallery link. Gallery reactivation after expiration may be available for a small fee upon request.
How long does it take to receive print orders?
Most print orders arrive within 7 to 10 business days. Canvas prints, albums, and specialty items may take a bit longer. All prints are fulfilled by a professional lab.
Do you retouch?
Yes. Every delivered image is fully retouched and ready for print or sharing, polished but natural looking.
What about unedited images?
Only final edited images are delivered in high resolution. Unedited files are not included in your gallery.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Zelle, Venmo, and Cash App. Payment details will be provided at booking.
